Stockport Fencing Limited manufactures a wide range of concrete posts and panels to be used in both domestic and industrial applications. Concrete posts have long been considered the most durable method of erecting fencing in domestic applications and are also used extensively in the industrial sector. All concrete fencing posts manufactured by Stockport Fencing Ltd are produced using sophisticated batching equipment and are machine vibrated to ensure the best possible finish. Steel reinforcing rods are positioned in the four corners of each concrete post providing unrivalled strength and longevity.
Concrete slotted posts available in sizes ranging from 1400mm (4’6”) up to 2700mm (8’9”) are manufactured in a wet cast concrete that provides a glass finish to three sides of the post; the fourth side is float finished and is normally positioned towards the rear face. These post sizes allow fencing with an overall height of 2100mm (7’) to be installed, however, should you require posts to accommodate higher fencing we also manufacture a number of posts using a semi dry mix that are slightly rougher in appearance and are more widely used in industrial fencing applications. This method of manufacture is also used to produce posts that are pre holed for timber rails and also gates, along with all posts suitable for use with Chainlink or Wire.
Concrete Base Panels (sometimes referred to as Concrete Gravel Boards) are usually fitted at soil level in a domestic fencing application between concrete posts to keep the timber panel from sitting directly on the ground. Sitting the timber panel directly onto the ground would promote damp conditions that encourage the onset of rot. Steel reinforcing is again used to increase the strength of this product. Base Panels can also be used to form a solid concrete panel fence and other variations of this are achievable when using our exposed aggregate panels that discourage graffiti from being applied to the surface.
A concrete post is a concrete post right? Wrong! Don’t be fooled into thinking that because the description of a product is the same then you are getting the same product. There are ways of cutting costs when manufacturing products such as concrete posts i.e. using cheap cement, substandard or even worse no reinforcing or using old, tired moulds that will mean that the product will be out of shape.
Believe it or not people even manufacture them wrong by skimping on mix quantities to cut costs, or insufficiently vibrating the product so that it is full of air pockets. Both of which will effectively reduce the strength and lifespan of the product.
Installing fencing is tiring work and lets face it you don’t want to have to dig out all your concrete posts in five years time because you bought badly manufactured products. At Stockport Fencing Ltd we use only the finest high strength cement along with 5.5mm high carbon Steel Reinforcing Bars to give optimum strength. The mix quantities are carefully monitored to allow for the smoothest possible (glass) finish on the face of the posts and moulds are constantly replaced with new to ensure the product is true.
Don’t be fooled into buying a concrete post for a little bit less by a company that tells you that a concrete post is a concrete post. Insist on the best on the market and allow your fencing to stand the test of time. |
